Hyundai opens UK orders for the new IONIQ 6 from £33,240, with deliveries not due until early 2027
The refreshed IONIQ 6 offers up to 422 miles of range and 18-minute fast charging, but UK buyers who order now wait until 2027.

Orders open at £33,240
Hyundai has opened UK orders for the all-new IONIQ 6 at £33,240 ($45,000), a price that includes the Electric Car Grant (ECG). [1] The car is on sale with a range of up to 422 miles. [1]
The catch is timing. You can order on Hyundai UK's website now, but deliveries are set to begin in early 2027. [1]
What Hyundai changed
Hyundai describes the new IONIQ 6 as an evolved electrified streamliner with a new design, a refined interior and a bigger battery for longer range. [1]
At the front, the car has a redesigned shark nose and slim daytime running lights. [1] The black lower body garnish now extends into the doors. [1] At the rear, an extended ducktail design replaces the previous generation's prominent spoiler. [1]
Inside the cabin
The interior has a redesigned two-tone leather steering wheel and a digital side mirror. [1] The center console is a bridge-type design with a wireless phone charger and physical buttons. [1]
Two 12.3-inch screens handle navigation and infotainment, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. [1]
Trims, power and range
UK buyers get three trims: Premium, N-Line and N-Line Evo. [1] Each comes with a 225 hp RWD or a 320 hp AWD powertrain. [1]
The base Premium pairs a new 84 kWh battery with the 225 hp RWD powertrain. [1] That combination delivers up to 422 miles of range and 4.6 miles/kWh efficiency. [1]
The N-Line and N-Line Evo also use the 84 kWh battery. [1] Their range is up to 364 miles in RWD and up to 354 miles with AWD. [1]
What each trim adds
The Premium includes 18-inch alloy wheels, flush auto door handles, dual-zone climate control, heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. [1] It also has a heat pump, smart regenerative braking, wireless phone charging, over-the-air updates and the full suite of key safety systems. [1]
The N-Line starts at £36,240 including the ECG and adds a more dynamic N-Line exterior and interior design. [1]
The range-topping N-Line Evo costs £43,270. [1] It adds leather and suede seat trim, a suede headliner, front relaxation seats, ventilated front seats, an electric sunroof and a head-up display. [1]
Its tech list is longer too: Surround View Monitor, Remote Smart Parking Assist, Parking Collision Avoidance Assist, Digital Key 2 and Walk-Away Lock. [1] It also gets an exterior Vehicle-to-Load adaptor and BOSE premium audio. [1]
Charging speed
The IONIQ 6 uses an 800-volt architecture. [1] At DC fast-charging speeds of up to 350 kW, it can charge from 10% to 80% in about 18 minutes. [1]
How we got here
The IONIQ 6 debuted for the 2023 model year and has been left mostly unchanged since. [2] It received a facelift in 2025 with new headlights and interior updates, including a redesigned steering wheel. [2]
The US is going a different way. Hyundai is discontinuing the standard IONIQ 6 there after the 2026 model year, while the performance N will remain on sale. [1]
What it means for you
If you want the lowest price, the Premium starts at £33,240 including the ECG and has the longest range, up to 422 miles. [1] If you want the N-Line look, that trim starts at £36,240 including the ECG. [1]
Range depends on the trim. The N-Line and N-Line Evo reach up to 364 miles in RWD and up to 354 miles with AWD. [1] The top N-Line Evo costs £43,270. [1]
You can order through Hyundai UK's website, and deliveries are set to begin in early 2027. [1]
