Three editions, one price

Lectric has priced its three new limited-edition XP4 models at $1,399, which is a $100 premium over the existing XP 750. [1][2] If you are shopping for an XP-series ebike, that gap is the cost of the new paint and accessory kits. [1][2]

The company announced three all-new limited-edition iterations of its flagship XP4. [1] Lectric is the maker of the best-selling electric bike lineup in the U.S. [1] The catch is that the underlying bike remains largely unchanged from the XP 750. [2]

What each edition offers

The models arrive in three distinct matte colorways, each bundled with a specialized XPerience Kit. [1] They are offered in High-Step and Step-Thru frame options. [1]

The District has a Matte Black finish and is built for the dedicated urban commuter. [1] Its kit includes two waterproof pannier bags. [1]

The Jubilee has a Matte Thistle finish and is aimed at neighborhood joyrides and weekend market runs. [1] Its kit adds a front and rear cargo package for enhanced hauling capacity. [1]

The Ridge has a Matte Forest finish and is tailored for trailheads, campouts, and outdoor excursions. [1] The High-Step version includes an integrated fishing rod holder. [1] The Step-Through version includes a weather-resistant small roll-top bag. [1]

The shared hardware

The limited-edition models come standard with high-output 750-watt motors. [1] Every one includes an in-house dynamic torque sensor that measures rider effort in real time. [1]

Every limited-edition XP4 also has hydraulic disc brakes, an 8-speed Shimano Altus drivetrain and a full-color TFT display. [1]

The bike has a folding frame, zero-degree stem, turn signals, integrated brake lights, and puncture-resistant 20-inch mixed-terrain tires. [1]

What Lectric says

Levi Conlow, co-founder and CEO of Lectric, said the XP series is America's most popular ebike. [1] The series has helped put hundreds of thousands of riders on two wheels. [2]

Conlow said riders use XP4s for everything, from replacing cars on city commutes to discovering new backcountry fishing spots. [1] He said the company wanted to deliver ready-made, purpose-built setups so riders can ride without configuring gear from scratch. [1]

He also said the three paint jobs are the best Lectric has produced since it started seven years ago. [1]

What it means for you

If you commute, the District kit comes with two waterproof pannier bags. [1] If you want to haul goods, the Jubilee kit has a front and rear cargo package. [1] If you head to trailheads or campsites, the Ridge comes with a fishing rod holder on the High-Step or a roll-top bag on the Step-Through. [1]

Quantities are strictly limited. [1] Lectric has also officially kicked off its Black Friday sale, which it calls its biggest sale of the year, with discounts of up to $800 across its lineup. [2]
